Jose Ribalta is a retired Cuban-born professional boxer who competed from 1982 to 2002. He was born on August 18, 1963, in Havana, Cuba. Ribalta was known for his heavyweight fights during his career and tallied a record of 38 wins, 17 losses, and 1 draw.

Throughout his career, Ribalta faced numerous notable opponents, including Mike Tyson, Michael Moorer, and Larry Holmes. He fought for the WBA heavyweight title in 1986 against Trevor Berbick but was defeated by a unanimous decision.

After retiring from boxing, Ribalta became a trainer and worked with several up-and-coming boxers. He currently resides in Miami, Florida, where he continues to be involved in the boxing community.
